It seems a genuine coincidence that both Barkmeijer, Stroobos and Brodotrogir have reached the 330s in their yard numbers at about the same time:

Barkmeijer
326 2014 PROCYON (last of three pilot tenders)
...
336 2016 CHARLOCK (dredger)

Brodotrogir

325 2015 SONGA FORTUNE (chemical tanker)
326 2016 SONGA PRIDE (chemical tanker)
327 2016? [name?] (88m sailing cruise)
328 2016? FALCO 88 (88m sailing cruise)

Ralph, that press release confirms that the first vessel - i.e. "Joint Runner 1" (IMO9706865) was contracted to be finished at Trogir. 337 (or 331, as quoted by Equasis) is Trogir's hull number. I know that your knowledge of the Dutch shipbuilding scene is probably better than mine, but something is wrong somewhere.

@davidships: while the 1602 is probably cancelled, the sections will most likely be used by Brodotrogir to build a sister to the JOINT RUNNER 1: CFL hatchd a plan last year with Brodotrogir to build up to five sisterships at Trogir: https://www.cfl.nl/content/actualiteit/news/press-release-new-agreement-brodo-trogir-and-cfl

Thanks rd77. I wonder about the sister "Peters, Yd 1602", for which the hull is listed as being built by Brodotrogir, Croatia. Will that be finisshed off in the same way - or cancelled?

@Phil: nice find, that picture! It's in fact the only picture I've seen on the web so far of the Caranx, as she was originally known
@daviships: she is being completed by the creditors of the former Peters yard, with Barkmeijer Shipyard leading the project (she is now their yardno 337). Now that the JOINT RUNNER 1 is gone from the former Peters site, the Thecla Bodewes Group will resume shipbuilding on the site under the name Thecla Bodewes Kampen.

Thank you, Phil! Actually she looks quite cool there & reminds me of those NORDANA SKY & INDIAN DAWN ships.

@Cody, Lol, drugs and alcohol not the perfect combo :p

That's what the two submersible compartments in the bow are for?
I think, Denis, that she will look somewhat better at normal operating draught.

@John: Judging by the name, alcohol isn't the problem lol.

Usually I'd like such strange innovative modern ships, but I'm not sure about this one... Lets see how she would look like when fully finished.

Listed as general cargo 10,000dwt, 8127gt, 128m
for Canada Feeder Lines BV, Groningen

Hull from Peters, Kampen (Yd 1601)
Who is completing her ("Yd 331")?

There is a sister Yd 1602 (IMO 9706877) to come.
