Ah Hamburg: happy memories and a lot of laughs. Like the Zillertal (Bavarian) Bierhalle in the Reeperbahn: the equivalent of a Scottish Highland ceilidh being performed in Soho, London – by cockneys. Ein Prosit, ein Prosit, Der Gemütlichkeit.
Oans, zwoa, drei, g’suffa!
Also remember the monumental hangovers next morning

It works over here (well, Hamburg is said to have strong British bonds) ;-)

Allan, you are wasted on here! English humour doesn't work everywhere, it seems. (I got it, even though I am not English)

Does no-one have a sense of humour on this site

Large enough hatches are not so easy because of the need of strengthening the whole ship with massive stringers which means more weight and massive heavy hatch covers.See also bigger bulkers where usually the covers slide sideways compared with fwd/aft on this ship, for sideways wideropenings would be not possible. BTW,,when wet it is not nice, but really shitty it becomes when it dries, it sticks to the paint on the decks like glue, special the dust from corn, but most grains do. Real nasty stuff and a headache to get clean.

May be the hatches are not large enough !!!

That dust can be treacherous if it gets wet. Like walking on slushy snow.

What is there on deck is most probably 95% dust from the wheat and not wheat itself. Loading is usually done by spouts and those, driven professionally, seldom spill much cargoes on deck, However it happens sometimes when they spout trim the holds

Thanks Csaba .. That's taken with my affordable helicopter - a DJI Phantom 3.

Great shot :-). Was it from a helicopter, airplane, drone or something else?
Cheers...
