Main engine: nine-cylinder Burmeister & Wain 9-84VT2BF-180 of 22,500 bhp at 114 rpm; Speed: 21 knots.
1978-sold to Panocean Shipping of Liberia (C Y Tung), renamed ORIENTAL CHAMPION.
1985-(18th October) steering gear damaged by missile during Iran-Iraq war; considered beyond economical repair; towed to breakers at Kaohsiung, arriving 13/2/1986.

Nice photo of one of the fast 21 knot ships employed by Ocean on the UK/Rotterdam route to Malaya, Singapore,Philippines, Hong Kong, China and Japan. The other sister ships were Peisander, Prometheus, Protesislaus and the Radnorshire....
