This fine vessel was seen anchored in Grimsby Roads 2/6/67 en route from Hull to Continental ports. Was a rare type then in this part of the world.We still got the odd Liberty ship though.

States Marine's Stack was like that, except the reverse: The top and bottom were red, the band was blue. JEFFERSON CITY VICTORY was purchased by Victory Carriers in 1949 and operated for them under her original name until sold for scrap in 1973.

Her stack markings indicate she was with States Marine. I do not know when or if she was ever with Victory Carriers. Victory's were solid, hard working stick ships.
