Description:

India Steamship's 1958 Hamburg built INDIAN STRENGTH is seen passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth from Calcutta, on 27th May 1966 i.e. fifty years ago tomorrow.

Later: 1979 FAULAD SARDAR - 81 SUCCESS

On 11 January 1982, whilst on a voyage from Korea to Bandar Abbas, she was struck by two missiles near No.10 buoy in the Khor Musa Channel, was gutted by fire and abandoned with the loss of three of her crew.
