When you first see this photograph you may think mmm that's not so good but when you consider I took it from our ship, which was moving in the opposite direction, at 01.30am ! This is a live fish carrier,possibly the OYTIND,which are used to move salmon par from the farms.Photographed as she was heading out to the North Sea as we were sailing into the fjord heading for Alesund, on June 5th,2006.

Certainly looks like the live fish carrier "Oytind". Had her in Lerwick several times this spring (2006)

Hi guys , this is one of the large live fish carriers that are used to move Salmon par from the hatcheries to the salmon farms to be grown on. Based on a trawler design tho so not surprised you thought it was a trawler.
