Ask an old member of this site what is a TOP picture.

I don't understand by what you mean by "TOP" picture. It was taken from a tour boat going by the dock. Yes, the majority of the submarine is under the water, but that is true with all subs.

Is it a TOP picture ??

Only a few of the class have both sail planes and VLS cells. I believe that only two are based in Norfolk, USS Helena (SSN 725) and USS Newport News (SSN 750).

I wonder if there is another sub in at the right of the picture or just a cut off bridge from an old one.
