WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
Former corvette of the Portuguese Navy 'NRP General Pereira D'Eça', ex-pennant F477, dismissed in 2010, and now without markings and simply named 'Pereira d'Eça', moored at the Rocha passenger terminal (Lisbon harbour) awaiting departure on tow to Porto Santo (Madeira) where she will be sunk to become an artificial reef in the vicinity of another submerged vessel, the 'Madeirense' (IMO 5216587), and on a shallow bottom. It is expected they will become an added tourist attraction, especially among scuba divers from all over the world.
Over the past 2 years the vessel has been reconditioned to become environmentally friendly.
