Yes, Marco Polo is 'for sale' and I'd expect her to be the next ship to leave the CMV fleet after Astoria. Astoria was never on a long-term charter to CMV, so I expect that she will be returned to the Portuguese bank that owns her and Funchal and Porto. I think that CMV sees that for them to compete and survive they need more modern and larger ships such as Pacific Pearl. With so many new ships being built I'm sure there will be plenty of available tonnage out there for CMV to use.

Pier and Jens, Thank you for the information. Seems there are changes in the CMV fleet!

Tony, indeed CMV http://www.cruiseandmaritime.com/our-ships is the company that owns the Marco Polo, I have heard she is up for sale, but don't take my word for it. I also believe the Astoria is leaving the CMV fleet.

I was wondering - she seemed a bit too old for TUI.

Nevertheless an excellent photo of her, Tony.

Damien, thank you for the correction. Is that the company that owns Marco Polo ?
Cheers Tony

Just to correct you there Tony, Pacific Pearl was indeed sold, however she was sold to become Columbus for Cruise and Maritime Voyages in England as opposed to TUI. I believe she is due to enter service with them on June 11th 2017. Beautiful photo though.
All The Best,
Damien
