Another puzzler.

If this ship is, in fact, ex 'Mini Lead', her IMO number would be 7021259.
I have her history as:
Built 1970 by Hakodate Dock Co, Muroran.
Ex 'Mini Lead' 1970 to 1992 [Elmini Lead Inc, Panama].
Laid up at Piraeus from 10-11-82; damaged by fire 17-04-85 at Salamis Island. Sold 1992 in damaged condition.
Ex 'Eleni' 1992 to 1994 [Galatia Shipping Co SA, Piraeus]. Employed as storage vessel at Agios Georgios, Piraeus.
Renamed 'Agios Georgios' 1994 [same owners].

She is still listed in Equasis today [just checked] with this name / owners.

So -
is the ship pictured in fact the ex-'Mini Lead' [in which case her Equasis entry is out-of-date, which is perhaps not surprising in view of her history]? or
is this a different ship entirely? [but certainly a member of this class].

OK - answering my own question:

I have since looked at the photo of this ship's bow and the name 'Mini Lead' can be clearly discerned.
The question now is: when was she renamed from 'Agios Georgios' to 'Vasiliki' [and were there another name/s in between]?

Clearly, the Equasis entry is out-of-date.

This is very interesting indeed - thank you for your work so far! There's a quick note in Laurence Dunn's 'Mediterranean Shipping' about this series of sister ships:

'One of the largest group of vessels ever ordered at one time by a single firm were the 52 mini-bulkers built for Ceres Hellenic Enterprises, which belonged to George P. Livanos. A beamy, shallow-draught vessel, with two holds and one 8-ton crane, they measured 215 ft in length. The 52 ships came from just seven Japanese shipyards.'

:-) I managed to find one more name for her: ELENI (from Skolarikos) and with remark 'SOLD FOR SCRAP'... She was built at Hakodate Dock Co.Ltd., Japan and her speed was 10.25 kn!

An interesting photo. The type is getting old now. MINI LEAD is one in the second largest coaster-series in the World. 55 units of the tpe was built by several Japanese yard in the beginning of the 1970'ies. All for Ceres Hellenic Shipping, and did good work in the Bangla Desh war and in the Caribbean. The largest coaster-series at all is still the 299 grt, 710 dwt. series from the Nordsøværftet here in Ringkøbing. 61 units built in 11 years from1966. First one was PERLELIL last one was KARL FREM in 1977.
