It is actually the sunlight...more to the right, hence more reflection on the water on the r/h side. You can see how bright the stern is compared to the bow...
Stan Muller on Aug 09, 2016 13:42 (3 years ago)
Daniel, the reflection is in the flat water surface, the peir at the right in the photo disturbs the water and causes a current, so another reflection that follows the bend current. In full size it can be seen

Thanks for all comments and tips, nice to see the picture spurs questions and comments.

Allo Stan and thanks for your answer. It is a very beautidul photo indeed. But contrary to the laws of physics or hydrostatics, the water surface is curved. Moreover if there is reflection aft, it should show also forward dont you think?

Nice photo. Arcadia due back in Saint John next month after a 4 year absence. :-)

LOL @becky ;)
Stan Muller on Aug 08, 2016 13:58 (3 years ago)
Daniel; nothing strange about it. The white colour, beneath the red line is reflection in the water. The red line has the expeced red line. Just look at it in full size.
Very nice capture Tomas. rgds Stan

The photo seems strange: the surface of the water is almost spherical instead of flat and the vessel looks as if stern is too high out of water! Can someone explain?
becky on Aug 08, 2016 13:04 (3 years ago)
Maybe Mr Dot has more power than we ever knew. Seriously she looks good and well rid of the buggered up jack
Brett Bachmann on Aug 08, 2016 08:55 (3 years ago)
Thanks @Tomas, lovely pic. can anybody explain why not "buggered up jack" courtesy Mr. Dot ;) and the red boot topping ? Looks much better. Brett
Tomas Řstberg- Jacobsen on Aug 08, 2016 06:08 (3 years ago)
