Bremen/Bremenhaven-Immingham-Gothenburg ( if I remember properly," which may not be totally accurate after this passage of time"...as you mentioned jejeje)
Yes my friend, a lot of time ago, and I never thought that someone were shooting ( photos jeje) at us in these days (more than 36 years ago.)
Before we were doing Mediterranean - North sea ( Valencia-Harwich-Grangemouth-Bremenhaven )
And please If you have more shots, upload it here or send to me. I will enjoy like a kid your Ventuari shots.
Thanks again simonwp.

Pleased you like the shot, I have others taken on the other leg of the rotation you mention. According to my records, which may not be totally accurate after this passage of time, Tor Line took her on charter for a couple of trips in between the outward and homeward leg of her Caribbean service. Tor Line used to do this regularly with their vessels that were on charter to FOSS, in between votages to the Middle East, they would make a couple of rotations on Tor Lines NW Europe services, this is one of the few times they did this with a vessel from a third party.

Well as you all know, I was 2dn. and later Ch. mate of Ventuari at 1979-80 and I use the same nick name on Shipspotting because of all the ships I worked on, Ventuari was the one that I enjoyed most.
Brand new RoRo (1979) picked up from Kawasaky Heavy shipyards in Kobe, Japan, and for different reasons used as a Tramp RoRo. Never knew which would be next port around the world. Believe me, never knew the next one.
The shot from simonwp, January 1980, shows one rotation between England-Germany and later Sweden.
One of the better things of RoRo Ventuari was the speed. I remember one time sailing at the Red Sea going to Suez at 23,7 knots running paralell and close to one Jugolinija ship like a racing in a beautiful afternoon...so we passed like a bullet, and after that the Jugo crew start a nice long VHF chat with me. But the most the dryer machine...well, better...the dryer room. A special dryer room next to the laundry room ( a huge isolated room with a lot of space ) that we used like sauna ( for at least 8-9 people at the same time ) and of course for drying our clothes.
Its nice to see a new and different shot that brings back wonderful memories of times they will never return.
My tribute to RoRo Ventuari its sharing with you several shots on this site and keep the name alive as my nick name.
Thanks for posting simonwp.
Thanks jadran and Brett.
