Jurgen , oh great crossing for those years, unfortunately I can not help you with any photograph of that ship , I do not have in my collection , also in that year had not yet been born hehe in google I only saw a couple of very few photographs .

I see that you are in chilenean coastal shipping.
Maybe you can help me: In december 1979 I travelled on the cargo/passenger/mailboat "Rio Baker" as backpacker from Punta Arenas to Puerto Montt. 5 days for the voyage. We arrived on christmas day morning in Pto. Montt after having a delay due to bad weather. No more water onboard. Food practically finished but everybody in good mood on arrival....
Is there any possibility of a foto of the long gone vessel?
