Description:

General cargo ship NIKSIC Reg.Bar. She was built at Sestao in Spain in 1970 and was photographed unloading cargo,possibly animal feedstuff from Kakinada, at Birkenhead in 1988.

One of beatiful Hispania(Freedom) type vessel.Built with IHI' license.

Nikšić ( and sistership Kolašin ) is not bulker, she is general cargo ship, built in Sestao, Spain, 1970. There was also third vessel from this series - Virpazar, but she was sold during 1973. year. Nikšić and Kolašin lasted much longer. This photo is from end February / beginning March 1988., when she arrived in England - first Liverpool and later Newport with cargo from Kakinada, probably stuff for feeding the animals on British farms.
