@Pieter/Brett,, I see it the same as you Pieter, it is a topic discussion on a matter which concerns the very same vessel, don,t see any reason why to open for that a forum discussion. I am always glad when I can contribute, even when it means that may be my comment is not 100% correct or may be even wrong, one can only lern from it !!!

@Brett, very few people will read them in the forum unfortunately. And is this shot gets more hits because of the discussion, so be it. The ship attracts interest, and a post interesting ship deserves more hits.

Well Pieter,, then you might get a problem. If one constantly sails for the same charterer and same ports you are correct, but if you have changing charterers then it is usually clearly in the voyage instructions of charterers that the holds have to be washed clean, free of flakes and rust and cargo residues of last cargo, even when it is exactly the same cargo.

Captain Ted, I do not expect any crew to be cleaning capesize holds when sailing. Especially when you go from one iron ore cargo to another...

@Pieter,, exactly,, big ships , big spaces,,and due to fact it is a bulker they usually have crew in the 20 range, also when it is per minimum-safe manning much less. The ship I sail now, also when not classified as bulker has minimum 14 crew but we have actually 22-24 crew . We, and do they , need the bigger crews for the sole reason of cleaning the ship in between cargoes !!

Captain Ted, I don't expect a tennis court in there, but five layers of at least 10 meters wide and 15 meters long (if oyu look at a side shot you will not that the funnel sits at the very end of the block, at least 15 meters away from the back of the bridge) will provide ample space to wine, dine and sleep 15 crew members...

@ PIETER, visibility like in the PanCan and if you look closer,,to the back (that what is visible at the side) of accommodation it does not have portholes/windows, which means its the engine room shaft/exhaust pipe shaft. then the remaining of the accommodation does not look that big anymore, beside high

Definitely does not go by "beauty", but then bulkers have often low accommodations,,this one is a tower like a container vessel. Only explanation what I can come up with are the very stringent visibility requirements in the Panama Canal.
