Description:

US Military Sealift Command Henry J. Kaiser class underway replenishment oiler coming into the Hampton Roads. Going west past Fort Monroe Hampton VA. She is one of the last three of the class that have double hulls instead of the original single hulls. This limits their capacity, although there are valves to allow the voids to be used in wartime. She is riding high indicating she is empty, also notice private cars on her flight deck. It is common when a ship is changing ports, for some of the sailors personal vehicles to be transported on the deck of the ship if there is space.
