Very nice and rare picture of a vessel part of a rather historical fleet. Late Michael and son Aristomenis Karagiorgis (passed away in 2014)ordered the long series at IHI backed by Norwegian funds - quite avant-garde for the time. Early 80's the ships were detained by the financing banks and 8 of them sold to newcomer Eletson Corp. as well as 4 to Chandris. Eletson really made a reputation as dedicated products shipowner and kept them for nearly 15 years, with the exemption of the above Messiniaki Aigli - renamed Limnos by Eletson which was sold on to Italians in early 1987, at a high point of the market cycle.
