Description:
Small coaster Arild seen in 2001 knocking around Southampton area.
Built 1934 by Schulte & Bruns Schiffswerft, Emden as the lugger trawler D. Dreesmann Penning AE.121, for Grosser Kurfürt Heringsfischerei AG. She was taken by the German Navy during the war as V1210, later V1504 before being returned to her owners. Sold to Norwegian owners in 1962 she was re-engined and with some rebuilding converted to a coaster. After various name changes she ended up as Arild in 1996. Reported sold to Belize interests, she was last noted in Newport, S. Wales in 2003 - anyone know what has happened to her.
