Based in Vigo but fishing in front of Lüderitz(Namibia), Campa Del Infanzón is exploited by the society Overberg Fishing Co. Built by Astilleros Construcciones from Vigo in 1974, this freezer trawler has been exported later to Namibia.

Overberg Fishing Company is a dedicated private company. Owned and managed by four Namibian entrepreneurs and in co-operation with Ark Fishing Industries, the company produces superior quality frozen-at-sea hake and monk products, according to customer requirements.

The fleet comprises two 72-metre hake-factory freezer trawlers, Echalar, Campa del Infanzón, and a 28-metre monk freezer trawler, Overberg.

Overberg’s factories have modern Baader and Trio filleting and skinning machines linked to Marel and Scanvaeght weighing and sorting lines.

The final product is marketed under the brand names “Pacific West”, “Golden Haddie” and “Overberg”.

Distribution is transacted through sole agents supplying end-users in Australia, Malaysia, USA, Holland and Spain.
