Thanks Phil, I lost track of the exact source of information supply to the EC in the late nineties/early 2000's. I am from the generation where Lloyd's was simply Lloyds...

For the record, Pieter, Lloyd's Register supplies Equasis with its classification status and survey information, as do other IACS class societies. Equasis ship info (including type) is sourced from IHS.

Thanks Vladimir, saves me some work too...

I'm not offended. For the next tanker I immediately corrected. If this is accepted so well then so be it.

Vladimir, no offense but Equasis gets data from Lloyds Register, and while they sometimes denomante a ship as a crude/oil product, Equasis seems to cut off the second part of the description, which means that the ship is shown as a crude oil tanker. As you may know we put spme effort in sorting out the tanker section and you can check our results by looking at the summary page, where the SKS-D tankers are all listed as (coated) product tankers. So when you post a tanker the next time, which I hope will not be affected by our remarks, may we ask you to check the summary page, and attribute the picture to the category where the other pictures of the ship are (if any?) Many thanks and keep on posting.

I take the data from the Equasis. And if there is an error, then write there. Because there is the same lack of errors. And I do not know where to really correct. Thank you for the clarification.

Hi Ian, I have already moved the three shots of the ship to the correct category. Thanks for pointing this out again, but the summary page of the ship could have provided the answer to Vladimir..

Vladimir, The SKS Dee should be in the category Chemical and Product Tankers.
