Edson: not the first one to go for scrap. Lead ship KERINCI was scrapped at Chittagong in 2014 under the name ARK.

I think the hull is the former KRI Tanjung Fatagar (974) , because KRI Tanjung Nusanive (973) was according to this website in May 2016 still in active service:

She had been laid up at the Surabaya Naval Base since before 2013 (Google Earth 7°11'37.59"S 112°44'55.22"E)and you can clearly see the Lifeboats had been removed by 2013/10 and she was in the same position in 2015

As you Pieter Inpyn I am very curious about the PELNI passenger ship in the background ! If it's a scrapyard this the first Meyer Werft built passenger ship of the series to go back.

Is that a former PELNI ferry in the background, built by Meijer in Germany, maybe one of the two that Indonesian army/navy took over as trooptransports?
