Anyway, not a piece of cake for the steward to carry the soup tureen, during bad weather !

@Yvon,,some had it that way, others not. They had however separate messrooms and pantries where then a stwd had to carry the food from the galley aft to the midships, alsways a task when the weather did not play along

Is that kind of ship fitted with a galley (and cook) in each accomodations block ?

Very nice Yvon !, one of the last vessels build in the old fashioned "bridge amidships" fashion !, she also had sister vessels even built later.
