Description:

Formerly Lowland Tanker's Border Hunter, the Scott's SB built Nereide sits in the sunshine at Avonmouth in July 1973. Built in 1954, only 10,944gt, she was broken up at Bilbao just 2 years after this pic was taken.

Not only does she have the characteristic look of a British tanker of her period, that tripod mast immediately gives her away as one of the original Border boats - some of the best looking tankers around.
