Description:

Again, sorry for the quality. Scanned from and old 35 mms grained hard copy. I did my best, but no way. If I can do something with the original 35 mms negative (bad shape) I will replace it. Hope the Shipspotting administrators accept it because its the second one in the database with this name (anyway up to the administrators, no problem) Aft. view.

Hi Tomas. Thanks for the info. Just looked for data of the Berge Emperor:
Type: Supertanker
Tonnage:

170,387 NT
423,700 DWT
Length: 391.83 m (1,285.5 ft)

Incredible the huge size of the SuperTankers.

Hi Rick. Yes my friend, thats the one we talked about. Everything its huge. A real monster. About the scans, no way better with the grained paper (hard copy). Hope to fix the 35 mms. negatives in the future.
Thanks for your kind comments my friend.
Happy New Year.
MBregards.

Rare capture Ventuari, and yes, I remember us talking about this ship last month. I am so glad you scanned the slides. Thank you.
I saw her just once, partly loaded & anchored off Rotterdam, about 1978/1979. I was on a fully laden VLCC & remember we had to enter the approach channel by passing around her at a reasonable distance, & feeling 'small' by comparison. Grear shot, great memories.
Gracias amigo,
Rick
What an awesome width - 69 metres - & loaded draft of 23 metres
