She departed for Murmansk 16/1/2017.
The was a Port State inspection on 10/1 which revealed a problem with lack of maintenance of rescue boats, though she was not formally detained. Maybe sorting that was the cause of the stop at IJmuiden.

Apparently she came from the Vlothaven, Amsterdam, which appears pretty busy so perhaps needed berth vacated promptly. At the same time she is shown as "for orders", so perhaps this a useful temporary lay-by while she waits to know whether to turn right or left (or even to load steel opposite).

I suppose other possiblities could include mechanical problem, or port state control detention.

At an unusual spot !, the so called Cruise Quay !, never saw a Bulk Carrier at that place before!
