I'm the captain of the Southern Star. The YD was acquired by Smith Shipyard in Curtis bay, Md.
Originally, we were to tow the rig stern first, but it was very unstable. Reluctantly, we reconfigured to tow bow first and it was still just as wild. The reason we didn't start out now first is the boom of the YD was hanging 75' past the headlog, and at almost the hight of our upper house. One moment of inattention and the upper house could have gotten erased. Luckily, we had no excitement that day. Thanks for the photos of our boat
