Description:

Built as Salen's "Lindo" for the Sweden-Germany iron ore trade. Sold to Bulk Acid Shipping Services of Monrovia (also known as M.A.P. Tankers, of Lucerne, Switzerland) together with her sister "Rindo" (which became "Badagry") and converted into a tanker. Chartered to Petrobras for U.S./Brazil service circa 1974. Scrapped at Santander, Spain 1979.

Hi Notchy, thanks for sharing these unique photos.

But I'm a bit confused... Miramar Ship Index says "Bonny" is the former "Lindo", and "Badagry" was built as "Rindo" (not Ringo). Maybe you inadvertently mixed them up?

By the way... Bonny was broken by Recuperaciones Submarinas at Santander, Spain. Work began on April 24th, 1979.

Badagry suffered a fire in September 1977 while at sea and was broken up at Niteroi, starting June 5th, 1978.
