Description:

This Ethiopian flagged ship, photographed outbound from London for Patras on 26th July 1967, is most unusual. She proceeded to trade in the Mediterranean until arriving at Venice on 17th June 1968 where she suffered a fire. Repaired, she sailed from Alexandria on 8th October 1968 for Massawa (necessarily via the Cape).

Built as a trawler at Collingwood, Canada, in 1942 as ANTICOSTI for the Canadian Navy, as GULOY, she was converted in 1947 under the ownership of L.Myreboe A/S of Bergen. Passing to Sweden in 1948, she traded as BARBRO until sold in 1953 to Bellavia and De Nadai of Massawa. She then traded as GIUSEPPINA until wrecked in the region of her home port in about 1996.
