Tour boat for the company Wilmington Water Tours.
Daily she goes on tours both south (to the NC State Port) and north (north Wilmington-Brunswick River) on Cape Fear River. She also does charters tours and some specialty tours (haunted river, Christmas lights, etc.) throughout the year.
Due to the fact there is limited access to the south end of Eagle's Island and the port itself, pretty much the only way you can see ships at the port in Wilmington NC is via a tour boat on the Cape Fear River itself.
What I do is park (for free currently) at the USS North Carolina battleship memorial on Eagle's Island (off US 17) and take the Bizzy Bee harbor taxi across to Wilmington and the pier for the tour boat. The company does offer package deals where if you take the tour, you can use the water taxi for free. Please see their website for further-
