I've just found this post as I was looking for some particulars of her, as I have her noted at the OilTanking terminal in the Westhaven, Amsterdam on the 17th April 1985, so surely on her same visit as in the photo. My notes say she arrived from Constantza with benzine and sailed for New York also with benzine so she seems not to have visited the ADM in Amsterdam.

She probably is going to a shipyard to get a refit and paint job. She seems to need it badly. That's why she is completely empty.

Yvon, in the meantime we concluded that my shot was also taken at the same place , but I totally forgot that I ever took pictures in Amsterdam. I haven't seen many soup consuming tankers in my life, most just used their pumps...

Pieter, I am sure your info is correct, but I found it strange that obviously this captain made a habit of discharging the ship in such a way that the nose came out of the water

Well Pieter, my shot was taken at the oil terminal in the Westhaven at Amsterdam, accordingly to my notebook 20 april 1985 but I agree that in the Europoort a same picture can be made.

Funny I have sort of exactly the same shot of her, taken in Rotterdam, also with the nose in the air, but the new grey paintwork (here rudimentary done) already goes over the whole length of the hull.
