Good question Phil, doesn't look like the Gravesend landscape now I look at it.
I'm sorting some old photos and apart from the name on the back the only other info is "Tilbury". Must be on the river somewhere, I will see if any others have the same background.

Thanks for pointing it out, gives me something else to do :-)

Regards

Bob

I don't recognise that as Tilbury, Bob. Could it be further upstream from the Landing Stage?

The Ford D-series trucks on board suggest she might be outwards from Fords Dagenham?

Maybe I wasn't clear in my query. Why does this ship have the Finnlines logo on her funnel, I can't find any traces that the MOVENSTEERT would have had something to do with the Finnish company. Maybe a short charter? She is not listed in the book The Finnlines Fleet 1947–1997.

Cheers,
Aleksi

Anyone care to explain the Finnlines funnel logo?

Thanks in advance,

Please don't delete it Robert. It is a an atmospheric photo of a time now gone. I cannot identify the shore, but I imagine that there are now condo towers there.
