My 'local' spot - Calshot at the southern end of Southampton Water, giving views of everything entering and leaving the port and of course Fawley and Hamble oil terminals. And as a bonus a castle, one of Henry's to keep out the French, and a sports centre complete with dry ski slope, velodrome and climbing walls, but beware the yachts, especially between Easter and September. Many a shot ruined over the years although ameliorated with the advent of good quality zooms but some still lost see my pic of NYK Eagle
