Shot at Yard HDW, Kiel; German Navys first submarine in Type 212A class "U31 - S181", in service from 2005. Length abt 56 - 57 meters. Propulsion: diesel engine, fuel cells, electric motors. Speed 12 knots surfaced, 20 knots submerged. Range(lower speed) 8.000 nautical miles. Test depth 250 meters. Crew. 27. Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems has delievered this class to German Navy and to Italian Navy. Norwegian Navy has planned to get 4 subs based on 212-type in the years 2025 - 2030.

Looks like MLU.
It's a good chance to see the Oxygen and Hydrogen tanks (parts of the AIP system) outside the pressure hull.

Yes, Frank. According to information; 5 officers and 22 men. Of these I do not know if all are male, or mixed male - female. In Norway we have had female commanding officer onboard at least one sub.
