Even today I would not call it "General Cargo" :-)

Henning, thanks, during my working life we used to call those cargo types Major Bulk (Coal, Iron Ore, Grain, and Minor Bulk, the other cargoes mentioned) but never General Cargo.

The discharging boom is stowed on the ps behind the fwd tower and thus hidden on pictures showing the stb side

From the CSL Webpage :
csl Thevenard
Cargo handling equipment

MacGregor BMH Cargo Scooper System
recovers material from the top of the cargo
hold and scrapes towards 2 x 1000tph bucket
elevators

Cargo is then moved and raised by a long
conveyor belt to the telescopic cargo boom

Materials:
Coal, Fly Ash, Gypsum, Salt,
Limestone, Cement Clinker,
Cement, Fertilizer and Raw Sugar

According to Lloyds Register this is a self unloading general cargo ship. I am at a loss understanding what general cargo can be offloaded via a conveyor belt.
