Thanks Kyle, 82 years of service - thus, San Diego's 'PILOT' comprehensively smashes the first long service contender from Tenerife :-)
Remarkable !

Hi Rick, not quite. The San Diego Maritime Museum's preserved PILOT may hold that record, in service from 1914 to 1996.
There's also at least one active vessel with more service under her belt, the Port of Grays Harbor's CHEHALIS, which has been in use since 1958.
Kind Regards,
Kyle

Hi Rick. Yes, still looks beautiful for the age...really well preserved. Its an iconic monument of Santa Cruz de Tenerife Port history, and with 57 years of service and 71 years of total age a lot...
Back from Lanzarote yesterday. Waiting for your SC.Tenerife shots.
Thanks for your kind comments my friend.
MBregards.

Buenos días señor V.
A fine shot of this historic vessel and it is pleasing to see her so well preserved in the port. 57 years of service, possibly a record for a pilot boat, I wonder?
Saludos, Rick
