Description:

Lady Alida safely berthed in Falmouth docks after suffering engine failure and dragging her anchors off S.W.Cornwall. The combined efforts of The Penlee and Sennen lifeboats were needed to drag the Lady Alida to deep water before the tow was handed to the salvage tug ALP CENTRAL. The lifeboats were at sea for 11 hours during this epic rescue.
