In 1865 the brigge "Berge" was built on the Meyer shipyard. She was sunk in 1871 on the journey to Quebec. The "Friederike" brigade was built in memory of this in 1986 and since then has been a museum ship in papenburg. It is 38.28 m long and the mast is 23.78 m high.
