|The "Liberty" type vessel SIDERIS is seen arriving at Avonmouth on the rainy morning of 30th September 1970 with a cargo of phosphate rock . She was soon sold for breaking, arriving at Barcelona 7.5.71.
Launched as GRANVILLE SUART in Los Angeles, she was delivered in 1943 to the British Government as SAMARITAN by the California Shipbuilding Corporation
After War service she was sold to Cunard Line in 1947 and renamed VANDALIA, being sold to the "London Greek" shipowner Margaronis in 1954
