Description:

The 1957 Burntisland built SUNVICTOR, chartered from new by Saguenay Terminals of Canada, is seen passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth from Montreal, on Saturday 22nd April 1967, so almost exactly fifty years ago.
Owned by Arne Gjerudlsen and Kristian Egberg of Arendal, Norway, she was sold in 1969 to K.Z.Michalos who traded her as VICTOR under the Liberian flag until 1974 when she was moved to the Cyprus flag as SUNVICTOR. Sold in 1975 to Hong Kong based owners, she took the name MAN WAH for four years until broken up at Kaohsiung in September 1979.
An article on Victoria Steamship Company Limited, the London representatives of K.Z.Michalos, will be published in the June 2017 edition of Ships Monthly magazine, due out shortly, and include a photograph of her as VICTOR.
