Translation from Japanese website:
Silver Queen 2 is a ferry operated by Silver Ferry ( Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen ). Built at the Niigata Tekko as a substitute ship of the Silver Queen (the first generation) , it was launched in September 1982 . After that , in June 1986, the ship extension work was carried out at Isogawajima Harima Heavy Industries Isogo factory, and the vehicle carrying capacity was strengthened. In June 1988, construction of a large bathhouse on the upper deck was carried out at Hakodate. In March 1998 Silver Queen (3 generations) retired due to the launch.
In April 1998, it was sold to China Yangtai Salvage for $ 7.6 million, became the Yin HEGONG ZHU, and made service to Tianjin - Dalian Traffic Route [1] . It was later renamed ZE HAI and was in service to Dalian - Yantai route. After that, it was sold to the PT Surya Timur Line in Indonesia after removing the large public bath part of the expansion, and it was served as a SALVATORE to the route crossing the Sunda Strait . It was sold to PT Surya Timur Line in April 2017 and continues to operate in the Sunda Strait.

Hi Pieter, having discussed this with Chinese and Indonesian colleagues, You are right. The CCS class certificate is not current and the vessel did operate briefly as a supply vessel in the Chinese oil fields 2010-2014. However, she was sold on to Indonesia and became the "Salvatore" as shown.

Indonesian register BKI mentiones for the SALVATORE as ex-name ZE HAI, built 1996 by Niigata, but no longer a valid IMO. Marine Traffic mentiones only SILVER QUEEN 2 for imo 8204432 but with pictures of SALVATORE, built 1982. In my opinion SALVATORE is a converted ZE HAI.

Probably not IMO 8204432, though masquerading as such. The real IMO 8204432 is on the other photo here (as Yin He Gong Zhu)- which you can see looks slightly different. Yin He Gong Zhu is currently named Ze Hai and has a domestic CCS class certificate operating as a supply vessel.
