Hi Jadran,

I am advised that Jugolinija ships had berthed in the West India and Millwall group of docks in London, probably in the West India Dock. I am told that larger ships, such as Ellerman and Strick, had berthed in the South West India dock and that smaller ships had berthed in the Millwall dock.

best regards. Malcolm Cranfield

Malcolm, please, do you maybe remember at which Dock did Jugolinija dock at London... I know it was always/regularly at premises of one Dock (but I'm now not sure of the name of that Dock); kind regards & thank you in advance /Jadran

Very fine profile she has! Both Croatians & Germans knew how to design a beautiful cargo ship.

Yes, yes Volker... indeed, a real beauty this elegant cargo ship is... and as Malcolm had already mentioned in his Description, MATKO LAGINJA was built at Titovo brodogradilište, Kraljevica, Croatia (then YU).... it only happened by chance, that I was today at the small picturesque town of Kraljevica and port of Kraljevica (and made 1 photo there)....
Cheers Volker my old friend /Jadran

PS:
Thank you, Malcolm, for sharing this beauty of your photograph & this ship !!

MATKO LAGINJA had two sisters: FRANO SUPILO and IVAN MAŽURANIĆ
