However I know a few years back they also towed some outside and scuttled them in deeper water. If the Casanova is soon in the way that may happen too

@ Jens,,yep,,you hit the nail on the head !!! Put her smehwere and forget her. See my pics of the ADONAI ? Same thing, she was anchored there, now she is a wreck there. Right in front of her is another older wreck, the Armageddon if I remember the name correctly, she anchored there,,capesized and now still there. That,s the way it works in these countries.

Is there a scrapyard in the vicinity? "Final resting place" sounds more like, "put her somewhere and then let's forget her"...

@ Jens,, agree Jens,, another of the old ones into history. Most probably she will sit there for another few years and that,s about it. However in the same area a terminal called PALERMO (Not Italy, but here a village nearby) is expanding rapidly, so she might be moved sooner then later to the final resting place

Some years ago there was a song called "Casanova in hell" - well, this looks like it. Again a sad end for a nice little ship...
