Description:

The MERRIMAC is seen here pushing road deck components that are being delivered to Oregon Inlet on the North Carolina's Outer Banks where the new Bonner Bridge under construction. The concrete components are prefabricated I believe in Chesapeake(?), VA and ferried down to Oregon Inlet.

The MARRIMAC is part of the Intercoastal Marine fleet (ICM)of tugs homeported in Chesapeake, VA. Built as the a)TED C in 1968 (hull #1) by Berg Boat Co. of Wilmington, DE. She is 68.9' in length with a 23.8 beam, HP(?). Sold and renamed the b)WICOMICO, Then sold to ICM who renamed her the c)MERRIMAC.
