Description:

The 1962 Nantes built bulk carrier SNELAND I, owned by Richard Amlie of Haugesund, Norway, is seen passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth from Lakehead Harbour with a cargo of grain, on the evening of Thursday 8th June 1967.

Later: 1972 LITA - 74 TIMUR ENDURANCE - 80 ALKOR

She finally arrived at Shanghai on 12th February 1985 for breaking.

What a marvellous design - on the eye, at least. A covered poop deck which could double up as an external recreation area (Beer) for the crew on warm evenings...
Seems unusual to have a single, rigged derrick from the after starboard kingpost, probably for stores handling?
