These ships operate under a contract for the US Maritime Administration and the US Military Transportation command in a ready reserve status. They can transport vehicles commercially as long as they can be handed over to military supply duty when deemed necessary. All US flagged vessels are required to have American crew members no matter how big or small.

Yes, Great picture Matt. I am just amazed that the amount of Bentleys that Matt manages to capture on the quayside. Its looks more like a Toyota discharge!!
As for these ARC vessels, I know they were ex Wallenius vessels and now operate for the US government as I was told. Does anyone have any more information? Its obvious they are not engaged in war shipments!! So, who are the owners? Why on the US flag?

Hi msport

as I know the vessels are still sailing for WW-Logistics. When you visit www.2wglobal.com, and follow this order -> SCHEDULES -> SEARCH BY VESSEL. Then type the name RESOLVE or PATRIOT or whatever the ARC's called.
The tracking is for all Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics vessels, so I would say as above

Hi,

I am a docker in Zeebrugge, working for the stevedore "Sea-Ro Terminal" (http://www.sea-ro.be). Our company does the loading and unloading for ARC, Wallenius Wilhelmsen,... Someone told me they have the US flag because 9/11. Ships with the US flag are "safe" ships. Most of the crew on board these vessels have the American nationality. Is this true? I'm not sure, but this is what somebody told me. Does someone knows more about these vessels and their crew?

greetz,

frederik

Hi Matt,

You are right, this vessel is a real beaty. I see her on a regular base in Zeebrugge, can't wait to see her again.
Thanks for posting this serie, great job!!

Yes, you're both right. The "resolve" is a beautiful ship, and I also like her sister's, the "freedom" and "honor", also thr "patriot" is nice in my opinion, she's currently in bremerhaven. I wait that "honor" will get a blue-and-white finish.

Best regards
Torben
