Thanks Jim for the "lik" ;-) and Ventuari.. Best information - thanks a lot. I see, that I'm too far away from the real off-shore world... Sometimes diffcult to understand, what is going on there and how the workers has to life... - Respect! - Kind regards from Zurich - Marc

Hi Marc. Nice and interesting shot. Really good quality. Congratulations my friend. Answering your questions, well, its an accommodation vessel. Remember that a barge its simple a floating box ( of course, you can see self-propelled barges too...).About this accommodation vessel, its simple all in one: spare parts and materials warehouse, workshops, crane service, provisions stores, supplies, med.faclities, offices, etc..., but the main function is to serve as full hotel style accommodation for offshore-platforms workers-personnel (in-company and the most third parties) close to the offshore platform involved. The strange structure( I think its the one you are talking about) at the starb.fore high up, its a telescopic walkway to pass from the accommodation vessel to the platform..
Well my friend, Congratulations again for a nice shot.
MBregards.
ventuari.
