Description:

Built by now defunct "ShinA Shipbuilding" in 2012, she has been berthed at the same place in Tongyeong, Korea for the last 4 years. I would even say that she was never completed, but her hull does show some "work wear", so I am going with "tugs" instead of "wrecks and relics"

She appears to be part of an order for four tugs from a Singaporean owner placed back in 2008. Only one ship was completed, back in 2010 (AN KANG). The one on your picture was meant to become AN KUN but IHS still lists here as "launched". There is a third one (IMO 9555527) which was meant to be the AN RUI but is also still listed as "launched". The fourth ship was cancelled altogether.

There's one other tug of what looks like the same type in service at the same yard (the facility being used sparringly for outfitting of vessels from nearby yards), but this one looks all but forgotten. If anybody has any plans with her, I suggest they start moving...

The Greeks could pick her up for a tidy sum and finish fitting her out. Shame to see her in decline here.
