Along with Magellan Strait sister for the last few years have been working the New Zealand apple and kiwifruit trades to northern Europe via the Seatrade liner service, the link showing her sailing Napier on one voyage.

This season the "Seatrade Orange" class containerships have taken over so there are now very little palletised fruit shipments and no requirement to mix with containerised volumes that require a fast service to compete with Maersk and Hamburg-Sud. And as the service from November will be a fixed-day weekly service joint with CMA CGM and Marfret, these slower unique hybrid sisters are no longer suitable for the trade.

Yes adenanthos, especially in the case of reefers.
But the record of the youngest ship scrapped has been the Hammonia Grenada (IMO 9477311) which was dismantled with only 7 years.
