The fishing vessel POWERFUL VIKING being scrapped on the shore of Iona Island in the North Arm of the Fraser River in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

She was originally built as a passenger and cargo ferry in Norway in 1952. After undergoing several name changes and moving from Europe to North America in the 1970s, she was converted to a fishing vessel in 1997 and fished for octopus on the west coast of North America. It isn't clear why she was being scrapped at this location, because there isn't normally any scrapping done here.
