Hi Siniša (sisko111),, only now I see/recognize that the first one (yard No. 513) was built at shipyard Uljanik, Pula apart from the second one (yard No. 514) which is now being built at shipyard 3.Maj, Rijeka (it is worth to herewith also mention, that the both shipyards are forming the Uljanik Group, with shipyard Uljanik, Pula being the leader of the Group).

Hi Mike,, just to widen a bit the "story" about the current Croatian shipbuilding,, in Croatia today are operating & *in business* the following shipyards for newbuildings:
- Uljanik Group (shipyard Uljanik, Pula + shipyard 3.Maj, Rijeka);
- Shipyard Brodosplit, Split;
- Shipyard Dalmont, Kraljevica (ex shipyard Kraljevica);
It is also worth mentioning shipyard Viktor Lenac, Rijeka specialized for repairs, conversions and offshore projects;

All the mentioned shipyards are privatized (generally, private owned, no government influence) and doing business positively with a margin of profit.

Hi Jim,, my apartment is almost on the east exit of Rijeka city and the shipyard 3.Maj is located on the far west exit of Rijeka city,, quite a distance.
I went there to see/check on spot the actual situation, cause from far away from my apartment, this newbuilding seemed as preparing for the very soon launching....

Jadran - the good news is that Croatia still has a commercial shipyard.
Whether it would survive if/when the country adopts the euro is another matter!

Maybe it's rather interesting the fact, that I don't have any source of info (including the internet source), which ships are being built on the slipway(s) of shipyard 3.MAJ, Rijeka... where can I find such info on internet?? many thanks in advance!
